26 February 08 - 11:16Last Piano + (z0mfg!!!)Driving!
Yesterday was a good/bad day. Most were good points, but there was obviously some bad ones as well. I got up at about 8am and took a shower. Mom called from work, as she does every single workday at 7:50am, 9:50am and 1:30pm. My mom and dad both work at the Unifirst Corp. about 15 minutes away from home. Its strange, my dad is the superviser there - so technically he is my mom's boss. They always joke, "Oh haha, Fred is the boss at work but not at home, ahaha.." Halarious. >.<
So, she called, and I took our dog (Billy =D) outside. We actually own two dogs, Billy(who is a chocolate lab) and Maggie(the pug). We also have two parakeets, a few chickens, two cats and my sister has a hampster or rat.. or something.
Billy has been having a problem. He has been potty trained outside for the past.. year? And now all of a sudden he is going to the bathroom indoors. >.< I can understand his problem, who would want to poop outside in this freezing weather? But when I take him out he pees, but also indoors... He always used to bark at the door. Hrmph. I am even more concerned about this problem seeing how, I have to take him out - and clean his messes.
I bought a brand spankin' new guitar on Thursday, it's a Samich om-5. Was gonna buy a washburn, but the guitar store near here doesn't sell that kind. Which is completely lame. But this is my very first guitar, I'm teaching myself how to play, bought a dvd on it and also some good stuff online. Should keep me busy for a year or so, then maybe I'll take lessons. The reason I just started guitar is one of the bad points of yesterday, I quit piano lessons for it. Piano was great, at first. And I took lessons for about a year and a half with a very nice piano teacher named Sarah. About a month ago, I had to just tell her my intrests were elsewhere, and I gave her a months notice. She seemed really upset too, which didn't help my mood. I mean I definetly wanted to pla guitar instead, but her being sad made me want to stay. >.< Then she called my mom, and they talked for like an hour, she was trying to see if any of it was her fault, and my mom said atleast 20 times that it wasn't. I just had other intrests. But anyways, yeah. That was about a month ago. Yesterday was the last day! =D I get to focus completely on guitar now.
After piano at about 3:30, my mom took me driving. Did I mention that I'm learning how to drive? Ausome huh? Been waiting for years, dude. And I'm not gonna be a retard and say, "oh it's no sweat." It's fairly challenging. And you do nearly have to change your underwear after passing a few cars at 50 mph on a fairly sharp corner. But no, it was alright. We went to the bank and cashed my check, then up to the library and back. Got home at about 5. Pretty ausome. Can't wait to get my liscence.
We got home and watched a movie, (oh wait, let me rephrase that) a lame movie. Napolean Dynamite. Or however the hell you spell it. It was pretty horrible. Maybe you've seen it. I thought it was actually pretty popular and people liked it. Well I didn't. Haha. The girl Deborah was good looking though. She could look really good if her hair was just let go and some normal people clothes on. Lol.
I practiced guitar for a while, and to tell you the truth I stopped watching the video dvd thing. I've changed to just getting a fairly easy but popular song tabs from the web and learning it. Once I figured out how to read tableture, it was pretty easy. I'll learn all the chords and crap in good time, but I want to keep it fun so I don't get bored, eh? I'm learning two songs at the moment. I have to retune it each time I want to play the other though, since one is in (Drop d?) tuning or something. Fairly simple to drop the E to D, I just play it on my keyboard until they sound about right. Supposedly my piano teacher (i had) said I had a good ear. The two songs are Time of Your Life(Good Riddance) - Greenday, and Never Too Late - Three Days Grace. It's excellent, I didn't get to play cool songs like Linkin Park's - Shadow of the Day on the piano until like, half a year. This is my third day playing guitar. =D Piano obviously helped alot with guitar, and the last few lessons, Sarah helped me learn all the chords and scales during our last few lessons.
I'll see if I can't keep this blog going. Though, I have a feeling it will be exactly like writing a story, I always end up stopping. Oh well. I tried atleast right?
